DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 3rd from 5-6pm experience RISE Virtual Talk featuring Cheryl Maeder and Lisa Reindorf presented by Arts Warehouse. Enjoy a video recorded conversation with two visual artists whose work centers on environmental awareness\, and relationships to our environments. Part of the Delray Beach RISE Climate & Art weekend schedule of events. Premiering on the Arts Warehouse Facebook\, and Youtube channel.\nCheryl Maeder: is a Fine Art Photographer and Video Installation Artist. The core of her work has always been about “connection”; the innate connection to the self\, each other and to all other life forms on this planet. Cheryl studied photography at the Zurich University of the Arts. After 8 years in Switzerland\, she returned to US and opened her photography studio in San Francisco where she photographed international advertising and fashion campaigns. Her work was the inspiration for the Dove Campaign on Real Beauty\, Real Women\, which transformed the way women are viewed in the global media today. In 2005\, Maeder relocated her studio to Miami area and deeply immersed herself into fine art photography and video installations. Her work is in permanent museum collections-Frost Museum\, Miami & Coral Springs Museum of Art and exhibited internationally-the Louvre Museum\, Paris & Museum of Contemporary Art Rome\, in traveling Public Art Group Exhibition\, curated thesis on Water\, Climate Change & Communities\nLisa Reindorf: Received a BA in Design of the Environment from the University of Pennsylvania and received a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Lisa was also an instructor at RISD. She has been a guest speaker at environmental Conferences on how artists confront Climate change and environmental Issues\, discussing topics such as\, climate change depicted in art\, Artists and climate change activism\, and sustainable art in the time of climate change.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 3rd from 5-6pm join the Miami Design District for a free guided tour of the neighborhood’s world-renowned public art\, architecture as well as temporary artist projects and exhibitions made possible by the district. For this tour\, enjoy CURATED PROJECTS\, which centers the curator and artist. Engage in conversation with artists and gallerists in their spaces\, sharing insight into the local art community including Dina Mitrani gallery’s The Altered Image\, Kerry Phillips “junk drawer”\, Paulina Olowska selections from the Craig Robins Collection and Mindy Solomon gallery’s “Rough Edges”. Meet in front of the Fly’s Eye Dome on the first floor of Palm Court (enter at 140 NE 39th Street).
