Guests will enjoy:\n2-for-1 specials on wine and craft beer\nlight bites in the Museum Café\nfree admission to exhibitions\nhands-on art projects for all ages.\nSchedule:\nMicro Mini Muse and Mini Muse (ages 3+): \nIn celebration of Pride Month in June\, participants will enhance graphite portraits of glamorous drag queens from American pop artist Andy Warhol’s Ladies and Gentlemen series (1975)\, or iconic pop culture images\, using colorful mixed media and collage. \nDrop-in Arts for Teens and Adults: \nInspired by Andy Warhol’s distinctive 1975 drag queen portrait series Ladies and Gentlemen\, and in the spirit of Pride Month\, teens and adults will create new identity self-portraits using colors and collage. \nPlus additional surprise events / FREE and open to the public.

SUMMARY:NSU Art Museum: Creativity Exploration
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 8th from 12 – 1:30pm enjoy a mindful art-making exercise at NSU Art Museum inspired by gratitude for the work of our hands and by the unique fingerprints we leave on the world. Inspired by “earth artists” Ana Mendieta and Andy Goldsworthy\, participants will make ephemeral mandalas and designs using materials from nature. Use your cell phone or camera to document and photograph your fleeting creation.\nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of creative exploration and the mind-to-body experience. Studies have shown that 45 minutes of creative activity a day reduces stress and offers mental clarity and relaxation. In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education.\nCreativity Exploration is sponsored by the Charles P. Ferro Foundation. Limited space.
