SUMMARY:NSU Art Museum Creativity Exploration: Weaving And Wellness
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 13th from 12noon – 1:30pm experiment with Saori weaving\, a Japanese weaving style that emphasizes individuality and dignity\, while enjoying the rhythm of using a loom at NSU Art Museum. Studies have shown that just 45 minutes of creative activity a day can significantly reduce stress and improve mental clarity. NSU Art Museum’s Creativity Exploration series promotes the benefits of creative exploration and the mind-to-body experience. During these one-hour\, interactive sessions led by art educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education\, participants experience a sense of well-being\, expand their perceptions of forms and improve brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation.\n$15 per person; $10 museum members.
