SUMMARY:Emilio Sanchez at the Lowe Art Museum
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, February 9th from 7-9pm join us at the University of Miami’s Lowe Art Museum for the opening reception of  ‘Emilio Sanchez in South Florida Collections‘\, curated by Dr’s. Victor Deupi and Nathan Timpano – bringing together stellar examples of this under-appreciated artist’s remarkable oeuvre\, which have never before been shown together. Collectively they represent nearly six decades of the artist’s professional career and shed new light on this enormously prolific Cuban-American artist\, whose work was last highlighted in a monographic show in Miami more than a decade ago. Marking the first time that works from local collections\, both private and public\, have been united in a single exhibition; The Lowe extends its deep appreciation to the many lenders to this show as well as to the Emilio Sanchez Foundation for their help and support. On view through May 21\, 2017. \nImage: Emilio Sanchez (American\, b. Cuba\, 1921-99)\n‘El Ventanal’\, 1973\nOil on canvas\, 72 x 36 inches\nCollection of Perez-de Cobos\n© Emilio Sanchez Foundation
