DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 3rd from 6 – 9pm you’re invited to Pérez Art Museum Miami‘s beach for their Floating Films Series in collaboration with Ballyhoo Media! In celebration of National Novel Writing Month\, PAMM will screen the 2019 documentary Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am.  \nThis is an artful and intimate meditation on the life and works of the legendary storyteller and Nobel prize-winner. From her childhood in the steel town of Lorain\, Ohio\, to ʼ70s-era book tours with Muhammad Ali\, from the front lines with Angela Davis to her own riverfront writing room—Toni Morrison leads an assembly of her peers\, critics\, and colleagues on an exploration of race\, America\, history and the human condition as seen through the prism of her own literature. \nThe film will be screened from the water and guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. PAMM’s Annual Corporate Luncheon celebrates the business community’s integral role in championing the arts while providing an opportunity for networking\, private gallery exploration\, and conversation. \nThis year’s program conversation topic will showcase real estate developments incorporating public art and working with local artists to ‘Curate a Community’. The afternoon also includes the Corporate Honors presentation\, which awards a business or individual who has made a major impact on the cultural vitality of South Florida.   Tickets are distributed through event sponsorships with a limited amount available at $500 per person. All event sponsors receive the opportunity to elect an executive to be recognized as a member of the 2022 Corporate Luncheon Host Committee. In addition to name recognition at the event\, PAMM invites the Host Committee members to a private dinner in the Fall.
