DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, July 12th from 5-9pm enjoy Art After Dark at the Norton Museum of Art. The Norton is open late every Thursday night! Visit the galleries\, enjoy gallery talks and special lectures\, art workshops\, live music\, happy hour\, and more. Admission is free.\n5:30-8:45 p.m. / Photo Booth\nMake your own photo props and strike a pose! \n6 p.m.\, 7 p.m.\, and 8 p.m. / Performance: Jen Clay and the Norton Teen Advisory Squad (TASQ)\nSouth Florida-based artist Jen Clay combines stop-motion animation\, video projections\, along with a live\, costumed performance by the Norton’s TASQ\, resulting in playful\, choreographed movements with video projections featuring giant\, alien forms. \n6 p.m. / Artist Tour: Vickie Pierre\nMiami-based artist Vickie Pierre leads an informal\, 30-minute gallery tour to offer unique perspectives on works in the Museum Collection and special exhibitions. \n6 p.m. / N!TE BOX\nPsychedelic hip hop group from Jupiter\, FL performing pop and hip hop. Band members include Dylan Thomas a.k.a Scuba in vocals\, keys\, guitar\, and sax; Walker Macmillan in drums\, vocals\, and keys; Beau Eavenson on guitar and vocals; and Jacob Thomas on vocals and bass. \n6-8 PM / Make: Processional Art Workshop\nIn February 2019\, the Norton’s re-opening celebration will include a public procession around the Museum campus that celebrates community and art. You can be a part of it! Attend this workshop and help make larger-than-life puppets designed by the New York-based Processional Arts Workshop that will lead visitors around and into the new building. \n6:30-7:30 p.m. / Spotlight Talks by Norton’s Teen Advisory Squad (TASQ) \n7 p.m. / Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Word Warriors\nThe group presents original works including\, “The Aftermath\,” “Dreams\,” “Broken Windows\,” and “Eulogy \n7:30 p.m. / JM & the Sweets\nSinger\, guitar-player\, and songwriter Josh Miles and his band perform what they call South Florida Soul. \nUntil 8:30 p.m. / Cash Bar\, featuring a Signature Cocktail each week! \nSchedule subject to change. \nPlease note: This will be the last Art After Dark until Feb. 15\, 2019 as the Museum is closing to complete the final phase of its expansion project.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 14th at 7pm join us at The Box Gallery in West Palm Beach for the Opening Reception of HIGH GLOSS WPB 2018: The Art Of Fashion\, an exhibition of fine art photography\, wearable art\, and lifestyle accessories.\nA special event honoring a lifetime of contributions to the fashion\, design\, and art world by Barbara Hulanicki (Founder of Biba Shop). Also notable designers\, artists\, and photographers: Damian Rojo\, Ash Rana\, Nicole Galluccio\, Flavio Iryoda\, and Rolando Chang Barrero. There will be a Special Best Dressed Award!\nHulanicki will be exhibiting her fashion illustrations as well as new designs at High Gloss. Barbara Hulanicki was the Queen of the Swinging 60s with her hip shop Biba. From dressing Twiggy\, Brigitte Bardot\, David Bowie\, Marianne Faithful and the Rolling Stones\, she made her name with the cult fashion brand she started with her husband Stephen Fitz-Simon (“Fitz”).
