DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, November 30th through Sunday\, December 1st experience the work of 14-year-old artist Charles Gitnick exhibiting at Spectrum Miami during Art Basel Miami Week 2016. The very young artist speaks out against gun violence in America through his artwork. Based in Woodland Hills\, California\, the artist is appearing at Spectrum Miami Art Fair this week in the Wynwood Arts District making a loud cry against gun violence. Gitnick began painting landscapes and seascapes at the age of 7. His current work\, 3D presentations of replica guns mounted and treated with various techniques\, inspires the viewer to consider gun violence\, its impact on our children and the poignant voice they raise.\nThe artist uses a variety of styles and techniques to create his 3D Gun Art. His abstract paintings\, created by using a spring-loaded toy air rifle and other techniques\, incorporate the gun but make it either disappear into the piece or take on a new association. His art blurs the focus on the gun within it and evokes provocative thought and dialog. Gitnick has achieved amazing popularity in the social media realm and also around the world through his participation in Art Monaco 2015\, Art Bogota 2015\, Art Zurich 2015 and various Solo Exhibitions.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 3rd from 6-11pm Steadfast Magazine is pleased to present a group exhibition and Art Basel Miami celebration in honor of Issue No.3\, La Libertad Artistica. Having worked with 13 Cuban artists throughout the production of their third issue\, the magazine was inspired to launch an event and group show in the Wynwood Arts District at Corpus Christi. The exhibition showcases primarily paintings\, photography\, and mixed media featured by the artists curated from Steadfast Magazine Issue No.3\, La Libertad Artística. All of the artists evoke and address a balanced connection between subject matter and artistic identity. With works curated by Steadfast Co-Founder\, Christina Arza and assisted by New York-based artist\, Ashley Catharine Smith. \nSelect Issue No.3 artists include: Armando Valladares\, Brian Batt\, Chantel Simpson\, Chelsea Kozak\, Christina Arza\, Ellen Silverman\, El Sexto\, Geandy Pavon and Hector Frank will be featured and celebrated on December 3rd. A live art performance will be staged by Cuban graffiti artist and human rights activist artist\, El Sexto. An interactive mural and installation will be crafted by Brooklyn-based visual artist\, Tiffany Smith. There will be live music performed by the Latin Grammy-winning\, Cuban band Pepe Montes.
