DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, August 8th from 6 – 8pm enjoy a night of conversation and play at the Bakehouse Art Complex with short-term resident Juraj Kojš\, who’s been working at Bakehouse since May 2023. Learn more about Juraj and his practice and participate in building structures from the pots\, reconstructing unstable architectures\, and hearing your touch through the air flow. RESERVE A SPOT/RSVP HERE. \n“My short summer residency at the Bakehouse focused on an exploration of motion\, present at and around Studio J. By exploring the AC units and ceiling fan as driving forces for intermedia installations\, observing the slow sprouting motion of plant cuttings\, and freezing the motion in the Instability sculpture series\, my aim is to highlight the various patterns\, speeds\, and shapes of available motion through objects and technologies. Principal materials consist of orchid growing artifacts such as pots\, tags\, wires and hooks\, coming to life again in fantastical new expressions.” \nThis Event is FREE & Open to the Public.
